The structure of each board (plank) alone offers its own independence and personality. Our wood floor range comes in either a ‘1-strip’, ‘2-strip’ or ‘3-strip’ format, allowing you to maximise the impact of a solid wood floor to your surroundings.

‘2-strip’ wood boards have a layer two strips wide. This allows a blend in the design and finish of each board, creating a distinct variation in the appearance of each plank. The size of the strips themselves can vary, which further enhances the individual effect of the board. With incredible versatility, the 2-strip effect can be suitable for either larger or smaller rooms, depending on the strip size.

‘1-strip’ planks, offer a more traditional theme, with emphasis on all of the knots, grains and variations contained within each product. They allow the complete character of each board to be conveyed fully and so look great in larger rooms, such as lounges or bedrooms.

With the ‘3-strip’ collection, the strips are positioned randomly on each board, giving the complete floor an extremely individual outlook. Within our assortment of 3-strip, we have a variation from high traffic, lively floors, to more tranquil ranges with light undertones.

Regardless of the strip complexion, solid real wood floors have an amazing ability to enhance, transform, or generate decorating opportunities in all rooms.

With our more traditional strip-style types of laminate flooring, we have a variation of surfaces, including oiled, glossy matt tones to produce a relaxed wood floor finish or textured effects to create a rustic country oak theme. Whichever structure, feel or appearance you decide upon, the embedded characteristics of a laminate flooring are sure to produce the authentic real wood style.

The potential of laminate flooring is further extended by the ‘strip’ structure of each plank/board. Generally, the more strips per board - some collections feature up to four - the more extensive and obvious is the individuality of the floor. As is typical with a real wood floor, the position of the strips and the knots and grooves within them will be random, which further aids to the character of the floor.

Today, laminates are committed to sound reduction, as well as wear and sound resistance.

Select collections will also feature a ‘bevelled’ edge theme, which allows the perimeter of each plank to create the rustic, distinct feel of longer boards, creating a real ‘country’ effect. The bevelled edge itself will vary slightly in appearance, due to the impact of natural light. This feature further adds to the individual ethic.
